Death Claims Bow Resident
Burlington, Sept. 18 - (Special) - John Alexander Latham, Bow Hill farmer who passed away in the Burlington hospital early today after a residence of about twenty years in this county, levaes, side from his widow, Nora, seven daughters and four sons, 37 grandchildren and five great grandchildren to mourn his passing. The Latham family enjoyed a wide acquaintance throughout the lower Skagit valley. The deceased was born in Ash county, North Carolina. For a number of years he worked in mills, then engaged in farming in Bow, Skagit county, having come here from North Carolina in 1917. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Nora Latham of Bow, seven daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Davenport of Belfast, Mrs. Donna Blanton of Burlington; Mrs. Hettie Tyree of Sedro-Woolley; Mrs. Lillian Winklesky of Lowell; Miss Hilbish Latham who lives at home; Mrs. Eleanor Ershing of Bow and Mrs. H. Roark of Sedro-Wooley. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in the Walter R. Hulbush Funeral home.
