      Simms-Jett
      Miss Kate Jett, the popular and winsome young lady residing with her father, Loss Jett, and Mr. J. C. Simms, of Prairie Hill, were untied in marriage last evening at 7 o'clock by the Rev. Geo. D. Willingham at the bride's home north of the city.
      After the celebration of the nuptials a substantial wedding supper was served.
      The young people are prominent in highly respected and will have the best wishes of numerous friends, among whom the "Democrat" wishes to be numbered, for a long, happy, prosperous married life.
