Marjorie I. Heise

Marjorie I. Heise, 87, a resident of Wesley Village, Jenkins Township, formerly of Shawnee Avenue, Scranton, died Saturday afternoon at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Harry and Margaret E. Bonno Heise, she was educated in Scranton schools. Before retirement, she was employed by Capitol Records and by the American Tobacco Co. She was a longtime member of the Providence United Methodist Church, where she was active on several church committees. She was involved with the Girl Scouts and was a member of the YWCA and the Womens Christian Conference. She was also a volunteer with Telespond of Scranton for many years. Surviving are two sisters, Arlene Richardson, Surf City, N.J., and Bettie Scott, Ornard, Calif.; a brother, William Heise, Ornard, Calif.; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home, 1810 Sanderson Ave., with services by the Rev. Arthur Davis, pastor, Providence United Methodist Church. Interment, Abington Hills Cemetery, South Abington Township.
Friends may call Friday, 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Providence United Methodist Church, 1924 N. Main Ave., 18508.
