He was born July 19, 1920, in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, to Ivo Vincent, Sr. and Edith (Frazier) Sherwood. He enlisted in the Navy and served in the Marines as a medic during World War II, receiving an honorable discharge. He married Florence Davies on June 21, 1948, in Moberly. Prior to retirement he owned and operated the Oak Barbershop in Moberly from 1950-1986. He was a member of Coates Street Presbyterian Church, Moberly Masonic Lodge and was a 21 year member of Moberly Chamber of Ambassadors. Survivors include his wife Florence; daughters, Carolyn Schaub and husband Dan of Chesterfield, Missouri, Marilyn Hasson and husband Barry of Rochester, New York; two grandsons; two granddaughters; three great-grandsons; a sister, Anna Maude White of O'Fallon, Missouri; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Vince was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister. Memorial contributions to Coates Street Presbyterian Church would be appreciated. Ivo Vincent "Vince" Sherwood, Jr., 90, formerly of Moberly, Missouri, died Friday, August 27, 2010, at his daughter's home in Chesterfield, Missouri.
He was born July 19, 1920, in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, to Ivo Vincent, Sr. and Edith (Frazier) Sherwood.
