      Obituary published in the Franklin Press, Macon County, North Carolina, dated November 26, 1969:
      Mrs. Cora Roten
      Mrs. Cora Calloway Roten, 90, of Rt. 5, died Saturday afternoon in a Haywood County nursing home after a brief illness.
      She was a native of Ashe County.
      Surviving are her husband, the Rev. Thomas S. Roten; three sons, Elmer E. of Franklin, Lawrence of Waynesville and Floyd F. Roten of Brighton, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Leon Henry and Mrs Jack Moody, both of Waynesville; two sisters, Mrs. Bob Woodruff and Mrs George Miller, both of West Jefferson; a brother William Calloway of West Jefferson; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
      Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Dellwood United Methodist Church, of which she was a member.
      The Rev. Harley C. Dickson and the Rev. Dan Ward will officiate. Burial was in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
