Obituary published in the Moberly Monitor-Index, Randolph County, Missouri dated February 13, 1933, page 8:
Robert A. Jett, Near Cairo, Dies
Robert A. Jett, 63 years old, died at 8 o'clock last night at this home, two miles north of Cairo. He had been ill for a year, but his condition became grave two and a half months ago.
Mr. Jett is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alta Jett; his mother, Mrs. E. H. Jett, Moberly; two daughters, Mrs. Ray Edwards and Mrs. Harry Sherwood, near Cairo; three brothers, Fred and Hugh Jett, near Moberly; and Alva Jett, Cairo; two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Jones, Kansas City, and Mrs. Glen Story, Moberly; six grandchildren and fifteen nephews and nieces.
For the past 27 years Mr. Jett had lived upon the farm where he died. He was a member of the Liberty Christian Church where the funeral will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
Burial will be made in the cemetery at the church.
